THE FOUR DOT SYNDROME: The $1100 iphone XS Max having serious sporadic connectivity issues

This have been happening since day two. The phone call drops . Sometimes randomly no matter what area you are in. ATT says its not on their end. As you see below I get 4 dots instead . Sometimes my phone is inoperable . AT&T won't take it back as a defect and I'm left with a $1100 phone that is unpredictable . Maybe I should've went with a Note 9 instead of this. Apple please fix this fast. Is it a defect or a fix that's coming down the line? I either need a new phone that works or a patch. Either way I want something for the inconveniences .
