I am receiving emojis in the form of question mark inside a box in whatsapp. Can someone answer how to resolve this? I am using ios 11.3 and not interested to upgrade to ios 12.
I already removed and reinstalled emojis in keyboard. It's not helping.

Upgrading the OS is required in order to have all new emoji's, there is no alternative.
It's not possible without upgrading to the latest iOS.
