iTunes music blue iCloud Download icon greyed out

I purchased 2 songs through iTunes (Windows 7).

In iTunes, both show up within the Purchased section. However one of the 2 has a blue greyed out iCloud Download icon. The other one has no iCloud Download icon.

I can play both songs!

Both songs (*.m4a) are physically located in ...

...\iTunes\Libraries\<username>\iTunes Media\Music\<artist>\<album>\<song>.m4a

When I click on the blue greyed out iCloud Download icon (Download), nothing happens.

Why this icon ?!

Hi geohei,

Welcome to the Apple Support Communities. I see you have a question about the meaning of an icon in iTunes.

The blue iCloud icon you describe means that the song in question is available for download. The other song you mentioned sounds like it's already downloaded to your device: About iCloud Music Library icons and status.

If you're clicking the download icon and nothing happens, I recommend a restart of your computer as a first step. If this doesn't help, try signing out and back in to the iTunes Store by clicking the Store menu > Sign Out. Then, sign back in in the same Store menu and try downloading again.
