iphone 6S randomly entering letters and numbers

i have an iphone 6S updated to 12.1.2. It began last eve. The phone entered arbitrary numbers and letters and i received the phone is locked...try again in 1 min., 3 min, 15 min, etc. opening the calculator app, readdle app, all random and without my input. I took the phone out of the case and there were a few droplets of water on the inside back of the case. I was working in a cold garage with the phone in my pocket then outside in the snow.

What do I need to do to get this to work properly again?

I see that you're having trouble with the display on your iPhone 6s.

I'd like to see if the issue can be isolated. For example, does it happen without a screen protector or case attached? Also try disconnecting any accessories that you may have connected to the iPhone to see if the display still has these issues. You mentioned that this happened in a cold garage; if you're in a different environment, does the display issue go away?
