Sooo frustrated! The letter t and number 5 randomly stops working unless in landscape mode which not all apps can use. A lot of times the letter “t” will register as “ry” and 5 will register as “46”. I even factory reset my phone and lost everything to find it’s still not working? What’s the deal with Apple? This happened after the most recent update. I just got this phone and never had a single iPhone issue. Now this.
If you're using a screen protector, try to remove it.
Shouldn't be this case, since your iPhone is brand new (and covered by warranty) make an appointment and have it inspected at an Apple Store or AASP among this list:--> Apple – Location Selector

I have the same issue, never had a problem with the phone, and today I woke up with that problem.
