Deleting events in calendar
I have done everything and I still can not get a certain event to delete

I see that you're having trouble deleting an event in Calendar. I'd like to help.
What happens when you try to delete the event? Do you get a specific error? Try restarting the iPhone and see if it lets you delete then: Restart your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
If this is an iCloud calendar, try deleting from iCloud.com using a browser on a computer. Here's the steps to do this: iCloud: Delete or hide an event in iCloud Calendar
