Hello - My sons Iphone 7 we are using with Tracfone. When he did the latest update to 12.1.2, he lost the ability to send texts and use his data when not using wifi. Any ideas?
contact tracfone. Text message and cellular data are carrier features.
If your son can't get internet or send text via cellular data, then its an issue with Tracfone.
Maybe call back and speak to someone higher up.
But if it was an IOS update that was causing the issue, we would probably see more post about it, but only ran into yours.
We talked to Tracfone last night and they are telling us it is an issue with the latest apple update. He can text and use internet as long as he has wifi but he has data and texts on his account and can't use unless has wifi. If the update was the cause, its my guess maybe some kind of compatibility issue?? In that case I would guess we would not be the only ones having the issue so hopefully tracfone is working furiously on the problem.
