Upgrading from OS X Yosemite

I have an iMac, Mid 2011 running OS X Yosemite 10.10.5

I am unable even to connect my iPhone to iTunes to sync music, and am told I need to install OS X 10.11.4 or later to be able to do this.

I presume I will need to upgrade to the base level of OS X 10.11 first, so is there a link to this?

Thanks

As your Mac can run Sierra or High Sierra you will be refused the upgrade to El Capitan.

So get Sierra from here, How to upgrade to macOS Sierra - Apple Support

and High Sierra from here, How to upgrade to macOS High Sierra - Apple Support

whichever you choose will download the latest and last versions of the OS

either Sierra 10.12.6 or High Sierra 10.13.6 each will be about 6GBs.
