Wearing my Apple Watch silences the alerts on my phone for tx messages and phone calls. I get a low ring sound on my watch when receiving phone calls, but phone is silent and nothing on either watch or phone when I receive tx messages. I would like to keep the sound alerts on my phone and get a tx alert on my watch when receiving tx

The previous answer is correct. I'll just add that you don't have to respond to or dismiss the text on your Watch. You can look at, answer or dismiss the text on your iPhone.
