When I'm wearing my Apple Watch 5, the tones on my iPhone 8 are silent. Often times I don't feel the vibration or hear the ping on my watch, and really need my phone to have priority for notification. I have tried a variety of settings on the iphone itself and also the watch app, but no luck so far. I'm feeling stupid thinking there's a simple solution? I'd love to know the secret! Thanks! Susy

There is no secret. No need to doubt your inteligence, that is how it is designed to work.

Probably not. I found it bothersome at first, but I learned to live with it, after I turned up the sound/haptics on the Watch
You can always let Apple know about your desire to have it changed by using Watch Feedback.
