iMovie won't let me drag a video clip to the timeline
iMovie won't let me drag video clips from my media library to the timeline.
I am using iMovie version 10.1.8
Any tips?

Try opening iMovie while holding down the Option and Command keys and selecting to delete preferences in the box that appears. iMovie will open in a new library. Reopen your old library to get back to your projects. Now see if you can drag clips into the timeline.
Also, try creating a new project and see if the problem replicates there.
Unless there is some reason for using iMovie 10.1.8, update to current version 10.1.10 and Mojave.
