Apple TV 4th gen dialogue inaudible

While background audio works fine (music, sound effects), dialogue is muffled or inaudible. Tried changing settings on Apple TV, Samsung TV, and Denon receiver, but no luck. Tried decreasing background sounds, increasing volume on center speaker for dialogue— still no luck. Might there be a forthcoming software update to resolve this issue? I’m aware of other users experiencing similar problems.
