iCloud Drive iOS app not displaying iCloud documents (Encrypted?)

iPad 2 (9.3.5) has access full two-factor Authentication to iCloud account. Photos, mail, notes...etc all are syncing. Documents in iCloud Drive are not showing in the "iCloud Drive" app on iPad. On the iPad, looking at "Documents & Data" usage in the: Settings>iCloud>Storage>Documents & Data shows 11.8 GB of "Other Documents". These are all of my iCloud Drive documents files. When selecting "Other Documents" in the Settings, all of the documents show as "encrypted Folders/files". Why will this iPad not be given encryption access so that these files can be decrypted off of iCloud and viewed in the iCloud Drive app? Like I said, ALL of the rest of my iCloud data seems to be syncing just fine, including Keychain and my credit cards. The issue is with Documents in the iCloud.

Hello jonny-q,

Thanks for the post in Apple Support Communities. I understand you're not able to access your iCloud documents on an iPad.

You should still be able to access these files using iOS 9.3.5, and knowing that iCloud Keychain and your payment information both function as expected helps to rule out a few causes.

Try opening an app that you'd use to access these documents, and see if you're able to view them from there. It would depend on the type of documents you have, but opening Pages or Numbers is a good test and might prompt you to open compatible files from iCloud Drive.

If this doesn't help, tap Settings > iCloud, and toggle iCloud Drive off and on. Make sure you have a reliable Wi-Fi connection and see if your documents start downloading after this.

If you haven't already, you can also Restart your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch to see if this helps!
