XR screen scratches easily

Yes! So angry! I am paying $600 for this phone and I have had it for less than a week. Same as you, I have only kept it in a soft case with the original screen plastic on it. Yesterday I noticed several small scratches in various places on the surface. WTH?!

Yeah exactly same happend with me. I am always iphone user never had any minor scratch on my any previous ph. This ph is full of scratches i dont know hows even though i am always careful when i handle my ph. Plus at work i hardly take it out from my bag my usage is very limited.

Same here. 2 months old XR with a lot of scratches. And I’m careful with it. My iPhone 8+ never had this issue

What did they tell u? I’ve had mines for 2 weeks and I have a few scratches on my XR.

They told me it’s a cosmetic damage and they can’t do anything about it. When I crack my screen I can replace it using apple care. But there’s nothing to do until then.

That’s the same with me. I had my new XR not even 12 hours, I put my AirPods in the same pocket as the phone and I large scratch appeared. Sort it out apple

I currently just bought the iPhone XR, so I am trying to be extremely careful with it until I get my desired case and screen protector.

I’ve had the same experience.... even around the screen guard tiny scratches have appeared. Very disappointed as only had the phone four days 😢

I tried doing that and scratches still appeared on the screen. Even after putting the screen protector on scratches still appear around it... so frustrating!

I’m glad someone understands what I mean. It is so annoying 😢.

I have had Android for 10 years and just switched last week to iPhone. I have a scratch 4 days in. Never did I get a scratch on my phone screens with my Androids.

Well this Xr is getting handed to the wife and I’m getting the pixel 4.

Yes can relate to this I have many deep scratches all over the screen had this phone for just about a month definitely not what I’m used to with iPhone

Finally a thread about the latest flagship phones. I had the xs , xs max, 4 xr’s. ALL SAME PROBLEMS. I don’t have scratches or hairlines, however right exactly where you would place your thumb to scroll, bottom right, started off with a tiny dot.... pinhole sort of micro chip. Then as a few days went on, there was 3 more tiny little chips exactly where I would position my thumb. Now I’m concerned. I am the most OCD person. My phone never ever comes in contact with anything. It’s in a ziplock bag for work (don’t want fingerprints on it) then held and used like a baby. I switched to the xs.... same. Same spot. Same everything. Now xr.... 1st one, 3-4 days, same spot same thing. 2nd 3rd and now my 4th ( 3 days old) just noticed a pinhole starting in the exact same spot. Coincidence???? No wayyyy. Nope. No. Seriously aggravated with this. Seems like the screens are extremely sensitive to even a finger touch. 6 iPhones. All same exact problem. Now I’m left with one xr with a tiny pin dot which by experience, will worsen. Then lead to bigger chips just only by simply touching it. There is nothing touching the phone other than regular use. So, to come to conclusion, scrolling in the same spot on any new iPhone will chip/spot your phone. Period.

Same. 2 inch scratch right down the middle of the screen. I had it for less than a month and have no idea how it even happened! I've been a long time iPhone supporter and have never had a scratch at all. I agree...it must have to do with poor quality in the XR. So disappointed!
