Accessory not supported Message

Three updates ago I started getting this message on my iPad. Now it’s becoming constant every few minutes and there is no accessory plugged in. Any ideas on how to get rid of this annoying message

First step would be to check the charging port for dirt/dust/lint. Use a bright light to peer inside the port, and if needed clean with a soft, dry brush, or dry toothpick.
