I would like to constrain Safari tab widths (except for pinned tabs) to a particular value, i.e. I don't want one tab to take the entire width of the window, two tabs to take 1/2 each, etc. I want them more like Firefox or Chrome. It seems like this should have been addressed in the forum, but I can't find anything.

Unfortunately at present there is no way to to adjust the header width of a Safari tab.

OK. Thanks. That's what I was afraid of. I went back to Firefox. Even though it has one minor annoyance, it is far less annoying that the full-width tabs in Safari. If Apple won't give the option to set tab widths, someone should develop an extension to do so.
