iTune update error

whenever I try to connect my iPhone 8 plus 12.1.12 to Macbook Air 10.14.2 Mojave. It tells me to install an update for iTunes to connect to this version of iPhone. I tried installing it but it shows this;

Any help will be appreciated. I have been trying to solve this for 5 hours and nothing is working. Help out PLEASE

iTunes requires software update to connect to iPhone I have a 2012 MacBook Air running Mojave 10.14.6. I updated my iPhone XS to iOS 14.3 and now I can't connect my phone to iTunes. I get a message saying I need to do a Mac software update. The only update available is not an update but an UPGRADE to Catalina. I don't want to upgrade because I am still using some 32 bit software. What can I do?

itunes not recognising my iPhone x when i connect to iTunes it says i have to install os 10.11.04 or later, i m on yosemite 10.10.05,when i tried to update it says there is no update available. i can connect my husbands iPhone se with no problem, any help with this would be much appreciated.
