magic mouse and keyboard keep disconnecting from bluetooth

After updating to Mojave m y magic mouse and keyboard keep disconnecting at random intervals from the bluetooth.

I tried resetting the bluetooth from it's Debug menu and still getting disconnected.

Also tried deleting and keyboard preferences from Finder->library->preferences and still getting disconnected.

This is really frustrating to have to keep and extra off-brand mouse just to reconnect the mouse/keyboard on a 4k+ $ machine.

Hi - I also had this problem and "solved it" by deleting the Android File Transfer application. The Apple Support folks were unable to solve this, and the Apple Store gave me a second, brand new iMac within a week of getting the first one. Of course, the problem remained until I discovered this thread :-) (Discussions with Senior Apple Techs included learning that they do not access Community threads. They rely solely on what is listed in their internal information channels.)

Question: Is there an application equivalent to Android File Transfer that can be used without the Bluetooth problem? I need some way to get to my DAP (digital audio player) to add/delete music files. Thanks!!!

I have been having the same problem. I have the same spec iMac except 24 GB DDR4. I too had the Android File Transfer so after reading this forum I decided to delete it. Let's see how it works. Will monitor. Thanks for all sharing.

the resolution to my problem was having my imac wiped, removed the old previously updated IOS and have it replaced with a new pure mojavi ios installed, in addition to a new magic mouse 3 and a new keyboard. all has been fine since, but there was an initial problem at the store when the new mouse and keyboard wouldn't connect.

Just bought a Mac mini. OS Mojave .... Don't have the Android transfer app. Have pretty much given up on the mouse and keyboard and reading through this thread reinforces this. I am using a cheap cable mouse. my Magic Mouse is still connected and I am watching the ´connected´ ¨connection lost¨ messages pop up literally every 10 - 20 seconds (what a joke). Does anyone know of a CABLE mouse available with the wonderful scrolling performance of the Magic Mouse?

Nope did not work I returned the mouse to Harvey Norman I had the mouse for 11 months ( thanks for your help Harvey Norman) exchanged for a MX Master 3 it also has a mini transmitter included

Amazing Mouse works well. I’m extremely happy now.
