IPad is Disabled/connect to iTunes

I opened my iPad 1 morning and there was this error iPad disabled. No problems before this. I tried the online support solution. The support solution is not working for me. Not getting prompt to restore or update. Suggestions please.

Try forcing it into recovery mode again. It can take several attempts before it will work.
