Making Audio Louder in iMovie

I'm doing a project in which I have to bleep out vulgar language, but the sound effect I'm using isn't loud enough. Can I make it louder?

Hi,

Like any other sound clip a sound effect clip's volume can be adjusted. Select

the sound clip in the timeline and then click on the loudspeaker icon in the

tool bar at the upper right of your screen. A sound adjustment slider will

appear that lets you adjust the volume to 400%

You can also place your cursor on the horizontal volume line that goes

across the clip and, while pressing down, move it upward to increase the

volume. You first need to click on the Settings button to the right just above

the time line, and click on the Show Wave Forms box.
