No gift app code

My boyfriend sent me an app as a gift, it's been almost 24 hours and I still haven't received the email. He resent the gift a few times but no result. Is this normal?

If you've checked the spam folder as well as in the inbox he should contact iTunes Support : http://reportaproblem.apple.com or http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/ww
