Carplay Echo

When I use carplay for a phone call the other person hears an echo. It doesn't happen on bluetooth. I drive a 2018 Kia sorento sx.

Echo while using carplay I see this question is raised multiple times without getting proper answer. When someone calls me over WhatsApp or regular call or any other voice calling mechanism when I am connected to CarPlay, the caller gets a bad echo. I have tested it multiple times by myself to confirm this. If I am connected to regular bluetooth of the car, there is no echo. Did anyone find any solution to this? I have restarted my phone multiple times and I am running the latest iOS 15.1.

Callers hear echo when i use a bluetooth headset On my iPhone 12 mini people who call me hear an echo when I use a bluetooth headset. There is no echo if I use the speaker phone or talk on the phone. I got a new Plantronics headset as I thought that was the problem. This did not resolve it. Just updated iOS to 15. No help either. How do I resolve the issue? Thanks for your help

Echo with iPhone 8 Plus IOS 11.4.1 and Toyota 4Runner 2018: have reset phone, reset audio in vehicle, deleted and re-installed. Have latest update on phone and in vehicle. Cannot understand callers. Bluetooth is unusable.

The issue seems to be common with carplay. Here is the solution I have found through the threads.

Go to settings

Go to Cellular

Go to Cellular Data options

Go to Enable LTE

Change option from Voice and Data to just Data

This removes the ability to operate internet while talking, but the echo goes away.
