Siri issues

I have macbook air 2018 running macos mojave. I have 2 issues with siri.

1st

when i go to set up hey siri there is no input. It's not working when i plug in headphones too!





2nd

I cant ask siri anything cause of input again

But when i plug in headphones...

I dont know why i cant talk to siri without headphones


Please help me to solve these issues

What headphones are these? The ones from an iPhone? They also have a microphone, which may explain why it works - possibly an issue with the audio input source.


Make sure that the correct input and output are selected in each case, e.g.:



If you do not have a sound control in the menu bar, go to System Preferences->Sound and check "Show Volume in the menu bar".

Hold down the option key and click the

to be able to adjust both input and output sources.
