Talk with Spectrum's tech support.


Make an appointment at the Apple Genius Bar for service. If you need to find an Apple Store - Find a Store - Apple. Also, see How to find your nearest Apple Authorized Service Provider (AASP) or Distributor (AAD)

The model is MLMN2LL/A, this is my home Wi-Fi. Spectrum says some iPads need to be adjusted to accept 5G, they said to check with Apple for what I need to do??

That's a polite way of saying "I have no clue what's wrong... ask someone else". Are you using the latest firmware on the WiFi router? My iPad Air 1st gen connects to 5GHz network very quick. There has never been a problem connecting over 5GHz freq and no, it doesn't need Apple "adjustment" either.
