hello. my microphone got water damaged two days ago i tried my best to dry my iphone i thought it worked because siri was/is responding perfectly, as well as dictation. however i can’t get the microphone to work with any other app. i know this might be a hardware issue but i tried resetting iphone settings.. still no luck. any ideas why the microphone is working with siri and dictation only? any help is appreciated.

Sometimes apps need permission to use your microphone. Have you checked that first? Ta

i recorded a video with the camera app and i can hear myself perfectly on both back and front camera. i can not hear myself at all on ‘voice memos’ or snapchat or any other app. all i can hear is ‘zzzzz’
