Apple TV 4K with airplay

I am trying to stream a 4K movie from my MacBook Pro (Retina, 15-inch, Mid 2014) to an Apple TV 4K, connected to a 4K tv.

If I check in System Preferences -> Display, I see that under Apple TV Resolution -> Scaled the best option is 1080p.

My Apple TV Resolution setting is set on 4K 60fps, so why I don't see 4K resolution option? Am I missing something? Maybe Airplay does not support 4K mirroring?

AirPlay 2 added new audio capabilities (multiple speakers), but the video specs are the same as original AirPlay.

Resolution isn’t mentioned, but user reports note that such is the limit currently.
