How do you disable fonts

How do you disable fonts (non system) in macOS Mojave's Font Book? The disable button at the top is dimmed. I can activate a previous deactivated font (done when I was running macOS High Sierra) but it will not deactivate. I truly don't need to see every I own each time a want to pick a font. Really?

Hi - There are two font folders in your system. One is at the system level, and one is under your user account.

When many of us add new fonts we add them to the System's Library and I do not think you can disable those. So probably that's where yours are located.

However, if you move them to the FONTS folder under USERS > (your user account) > LIBRARY > FONTS You can disable those in Fontbook.
