iPhone XR - LOUD static on calls

I am now on the 2nd iPhone XR and it's still making a horrible white noise that only the person on the other end of the call can hear. We have to disconnect to get it to stop. Tried factory reset on old phone, hard and soft resets and it didn't fix it. Same thing on the second phone....which I had to practically fight for as it was less than a month old. What's causing this? I turned in a perfectly working phone for a piece of junk.

I also got rid of a 5 switched to Verizon and got an XR for my wife and I. I cannot call any of the stores we own or many other businesses. The noise on my end is terrible and I cannot hear my employees. They on the other hand do not hear it. Verizon after 20 plus hours not helpful they blame Apple. Apple says they have no problem. Worst decision. Cannot do business. Don’t like XR or Verizon
