How can i turn off two factor authentication? This is the most annoying apple idea ever.

I recently removed all devices from my account except for my primary device in an attempt to do this, so that there is no other device that can verify. It still won't let me turn it off and I am having trouble connecting to iCloud because I can't get the two-factor code from my other device. That other device is also not connected because my primary device is not connected. Both accounts are signed out and both are asking me to sign into a device that is connected. This is such an ***-backward feature. just want to access my account./

Only if you enabled it within the last two weeks can you disable it, which you do via the enrolment email that you got when you enabled it : Two-factor authentication for Apple ID - Apple Support

If you already use two-factor authentication, you can no longer turn it off. Certain features in the latest versions of iOS and macOS require this extra level of security, which is designed to protect your information. If you recently updated your account, you can unenroll for two weeks. Just open your enrollment confirmation email and click the link to return to your previous security settings. Keep in mind, this makes your account less secure and means that you can't use features that require higher security.
