i deleted photobooth videos fro mac book air ( mid2012 model) 5 year back now want to recover few of that video , can i recover ?

Finding answers online isn't easy because each one says something that contradicts the one before it or wants to sell me a product. I have Time Machine. But my Time Machine offers no back ups. Is there any easy way to retrieve my old imovie files that doesn't require a programming degree? Thanks.

If you had Time Machine backing up your disk, simply restore a backup from when the videos were present.
