Gigaset SL910A home/office phone

The Gigaset SL910A great looking phone but says has Bluetooth to mobile phones. Tried to pair as instructions and did but then says not supported as the phone is a 2.0 and the mobile is probably a 4.0 whatever that is but clearly not compatible. Rang helpline and advised the phone cannot be paired to a mobile phone only a headset. Advised that the Manuel says it can be and advised to send back if not satisfied but advised misrepresentation of this factor. Then advised to send complaint to support@gigaset.com which I have done and let us see the reply.

Also buttons on the phone are hard to actually get the number up to make a call!

No. Apple hasn't restricted the use. That phone uses standard bluetooth profiles. That said, the iPhone 4 is extremely old and is now considered obsolete. You should probably consider upgrading to a more current model phone. The iPhone 4 is stuck on iOS 7. The current version of iOS is iOS 12.1.2. That is 5 major versions between the time the iPhone 4 stopped getting updates and now.
