Yamaha MX61 V2 not working on Macbook Pro

I have bought a Yamaha MX61 V2, and after Installing, the Yamaha Steinberg USB driver, the device does not show up as an audio device in System Preferences or in the Audio Midi Setup. Neither Does it show up In Logic X. I'm Connecting the keyboard to the Laptop via USB.

A Previous Thread (attaching link below ), spoke about the incompatibility with Sierra. however the link in the solution is not directing my to the correct update.

Please Help.

You shouldn't install all drivers, just the single latest one which is 1.10.2 after installing the driver:

Then unplug the USB keyboard connection from the computer, either shut the computer off and restart, or simply restart the computer.. let it sit for a minute then plug the keyboard back in.

There shouldn't be a compatibility issue. In the Keyboard's settings is there an activation for USB Audio/MIDI.

One other thing Yamaha mention is the Keyboard should work without the drivers as it's System Compliant.

Did the Mac operating system pop up a warning about installing third party drivers.

In Mac's System Preferences/ Security/Privacy. Make sure that Apps from App Store and Identified Developers is selected.

I'm on Sierra 10.12.6.

the link you have pasted does not open for me.

I have gone to the Link below and installed all drivers I possibly could for the MX61, but none of the are helping.https://usa.yamaha.com/products/music_production/synthesizers/mx_bk_**/downloads.html

On the MX61 I have even check the Utilities menu and checked that Midi is set to go through "USB".

Exactly what I thought. that this did not require any drivers. I've uninstalled and re installed the driver too but it wont show up in the USB MIDI control Panel either.

and Yes, in the Keyboards' Utilities menu, under Midi Setting, I have already Chosen Midi through USB.

Mac did not pop up a warning. i have ensured that it has installed correctly.

I'm now at my wits end on this. I feel it must something with the Yamaha product ot the USB 'to host' port on the Yamaha.

I can't figure anything else out.
