Live Photo as wallpaper going black?

Hi, I own an iPhone 8 plus and recently I’ve wanted to set a Live Photo as my wallpaper. I can set it as my wallpaper, and it the previews it is a Live Photo, however, once it is my wallpaper and I hard press to try and see it, it just goes black. Is there any way I can fix this? I have tried restarting my phone and different ways to set my wallpaper.

Hopefully you have chosen "Live Photos" & not "Still Photos" from Photos App. because both are displayed in Wallpaper App

These wallpapers seem like still images until you tap and long-press them. Then they come to life and start to move.
Another limitation is that the animation only works on the Lock screen. On the Home screen, Live wallpapers just look like still images.

I have chosen live photos and when I hold the photo at the lock screen it just goes to a black screen
