I received a new refurbished iPad for xmas and previously owned and used a iPod that's about ten or twelve years old. I am not tec savy. Im a dinosaur. However I want to transfer my files from my old iPod to my new iPod. Some of this music was downloaded from cds and not bought on iTunes. How do I do this? Can I do this?

To transfer the music you can’t do it directly. You probably used iTunes to put that music onto the ipod, you will need to use iTunes to also put the music onto the new ipod.
