new SIM card, can't get iMessage to work

I got a new SIM card and a new number, and i can't get it to link to iMessage. I've deleted my old number from my phone, but iMessage still will not activate. any advice?

iMessage Issue I changed the SIM card on my iPhone Xs Max but the iMessage number remained with the old SIM card number and not the new one. Under My Number in Settings - Phone, my new number appears but the old number remains in iMessage and is not able to activate iMessage. How can I change my iMessage number so that it activates iMessage with my new number? Greatly appreciate the help.

Phone number disappears from iMessage when I remove the SIM card Hi! In my area the cellular network is poor and I can't have a Wi-Fi connection either. To remedy that, I remove my SIM from my iPhone and I insert it in an old phone with Wi-Fi hotspot always on (I leave the old phone where I have 4G connection). This happens every time I'm home because it would be almost impossible for me to use the internet. My carrier charges me 49 cents to activate iMessage and I have to re-activate it every time I insert my SIM. I'd like to use it even when my SIM is not inserted, but every time I remove it, my number gets automatically canceled and I'm obligated to use my e-mail. Is it possible to leave my number memorized into my Apple ID somehow? Thanks in advance!
