Updated to Mojave, now Magic Mouse 2 won't turn on/connect.

I updated my 2013 Mac Pro to Mojave last night, and upon using it the next morning, I have discovered that my magic mouse will not turn on. Not just that it won't connect. The power light is not lighting. I have tried new batteries. I have cleaned the battery contacts with isopropyl alcohol. I believe it's too big a coincidence that this occurred when making the OS update. I have read some things about Macs sending a sleep signal to wireless tech connected via bluetooth when sleeping or shutting down, and that it may have put the mouse to sleep in a manner in which it can't wake again due to something changing via the update.

Who knows...All I know is that it has functioned perfectly for 2.5 years and an OS update seems to have bricked it.
