Aye.

Here's the Apple ID support front page for Middle East countries that don't have an Apple Support call center:

https://support.apple.com/en-mide/apple-id. Click on that and then click on Contact Apple Support and then click on iCloud, FaceTime & Messages and then click on Schedule a Call or, during business hours, you may also be able to click on Talk to Apple Support Now, and then enter your iPhone serial # and go from there to have Apple Support call you.

Otherwise call somebody you personally know in the UK and have them bridge you to the UK Apple Support call center via 3-way calling and be done with it. Go on, then.

I don’t know but all countries choosable for the region should be choosable regardless of where the iPhone was obtained so, just curious, which version of iOS are you running? Also, maybe it has a different name or spelling for whichever language you do currently have chosen. In English, it’s Bangladesh.

Settings > General > Language & Region > Region > find Bangladesh and tap on it.

Same deal for language. In English, it’s Bangla.

Settings > General > Language & Region > Other Languages > scroll way down and find Bangla under the OTHER LANGUAGES heading and tap on it.

I'm not sure what you mean about setting up Bangladesh as a country but Bangladesh can be chosen as the region in Language & Region within iOS settings as well as macOS preferences but I don't know if or how that relates to being able to contact Apple Support. If you could state in which country the device was originally sold by the original Apple-affiliated reseller and whether your issue is iTunes-related or not, I should be able to help you find the most viable Apple Support option.

I mean when we setup the language settings we didn’t find Bangladesh. I bought my phone from UK but that doesn’t matter. Because we in Bangladeshi people didn’t find Bangladesh in the country/region list. Recently I faced a problem as “iCloud disabled “ when I tried to contact with them my country code no is not available in the contact list, so I can’t contact with them. Anyway if possible pls advise how can I solve this iCloud disable issue ?

I said when setup a new Iphone 2nd step shows Select Your Country & Region, there we didn't get Bangladesh as a country list. So we setup our phones by using another country name. As a result when i faced any problem I can't contact with them because shows that country code which I used to setup the phone. Suppose i used UK address but now if i want to contact it want UK phone no but im living in Bangladesh.

Anyway now my facing id has been disabled because of security issue, now i need to solve it. Pls advise how can i solved it. Thanks.

  • If Dial Assist is putting +44 in front of phone numbers when it shouldn't, try changing the Region in Settings to Bangladesh or else try disabling Dial Assist in Phone settings or else try to tap in the phone # manually.
  • Whenever Face ID is temporarily disabled due to temporary bio-lockout (a security thing), you can simply re-enable it with your passcode. If it's just not working, you can simply reset it via settings, again with passcode. Otherwise state the exact text of the fault alert.
  • I wouldn't be too discouraged, yet, by the notification you received when you tried to contact Apple. Keep trying like it says. Otherwise, at which point in the process does that come up?

Nay! Regardless of everything else, 2FA, when required as it will be in this case, only kicks in once an Apple ID is password authenticated. Then, when the 2FA requirement comes up, you'll be able to choose the trusted device or trusted phone # you want the verification code flash, SMS or voice message to go to.

You say you've forgotten the address and password of the email account Apple sent the recovery link to? The address of the email account you've associated your Apple ID account with is one and the same as your Apple ID i.e. the ID part of your Apple ID account❗️If you've forgotten the password to that email account, then your only recourse is to contact your email service provider or visit their website to find out how to re-up your account access e.g. reset password et c.

Thanks for the heads up about Dial Assist. It's good to hear from a true globe-trotter like you about how it establishes your home country and persists with it. According to the iPhone user guide, what it should do is insert the "+" international exit code symbol coupled with the country code of your home country as a prefix when dialing any number in/from your contacts that doesn't already have the exit and country code prefix. I don't know what else it may do beyond that for, unfortunately for me, I'm not a globe-trotter. I believe it doesn't come into play when the exit code is already prefixed to a dialed # regardless of how you dial it. The exit code "+" symbol is fool-proof. The network switch will translate it to the correct numeric code for the country you're in. To make sure Dial Assist doesn't impose the UK country code on non-UK phone #'s, you should be able to manually tap in the phone # with the exit code (long-press 0) "+" symbol and the applicable country code even, if need be, for phone #'s in Bangladesh (the global dialing prefix does not misconstrue intra-national calls as international.)

While Dial Assist should help with non-prefixed UK phone #'s, I can see where it would disaffect any other non-prefixed #'s. Again, you can disable and re-enable it on the fly or change the country in Language & Region settings. If you spend a lot of time in each of two different countries and have a lot of contacts in both countries, I think it would make sense to save all of your contact phone #'s in the global dialing format including applicable country code. Whenever you're dialing a new phone #, include the exit code symbol and applicable country code so the # is logged in your call log with such prefix.

You've implied that the Dial Assist home country is established by which country you've chosen when your iPhone is Apple-activated and that is good to know. I would think you could change it simply by changing your home country in Language & Region settings without resetting and re-Apple-activating the iPhone but if you say the latter is necessary as well then that's good to know too. Regardless, it occurs to me that Dial Assist has compromise for dual-home country globe-trotters. Always save and dial #'s in the global dialing format with applicable country code and be done with it.
