Monitor blinking on external display connect.
Hello. I have a strange problem: when I connect external display to my macbook pro through official usb-c to usb/usb-c/hdmi connector some times it starts blinking (internal display) and have no picture on external one. After some times (may vary from 10 sec to couple minutes) it becomes normal. During this blinking process laptop becomes hot, but i see no process that actually making pressure to hardware. So do anybody have ideas what the problem?
MacBook pro 15 2018
usb-c to usb/usb-c/hdmi connector
external display LG ultra-wide 28,5 (2560 x 1080)
I had also checked to:
- change hdmi cable (no luck)
- change connector (no luck)
- change all four usb-c on laptop (no luck)
- reset nvram ans smc (no luck)
- to setup different software that can affect ultrawide monitor (SwithResX and OnScreenControl) (no luck)
Also i have in system logs (about 100+ lines to each blink):
[ERROR] - Driver bug - rowBytes too small. Display 0x1b5614f3, ioModeID 0x80007000, ioModeDepth 0x1, bytePerRow = 32, width = 1, bitsPerPixel = 32, minRowBytes = 10240 stored width = 2560. Forcing minRowBytes (possibly still wrong).
With different params.
