Using Shortcuts and Evernote

Is there a way to have Shortcuts open up a specific Evernote file? What I have so far just opens Evernote and takes me to all of my files within a Notebook. Ideally, I'd like to use it to create a To Do list so I can have Siri open it and see what's on my docket for the day.

Here's what I have now:

Open App --> Evernote

In Notebook --> Today

Mode --> Append

Note Title --> Today's To Do List

I'm open to other suggestions if this won't work in Evernote. I don't want to use Calendar; I want to use some sort of "paper" I can append to and then delete things as I've completed them. I suppose I could use Pages, though I haven't tried that.

Thanks.

The Shortcuts app works very well with the built in reminders app. You can use shortcuts to both add and delete reminders. I do not normally use Evernote, but took a quick look. I do not see a way to get shortcuts to remove selected text of a note, only delete an entire note. The below shortcut will pull up your To Do list (Quick Look) and then will ask if you want to add any items to your task list. My Notebook is called First Notebook and my note title is called Tasks. You can delete the Get Notes and Quick Look actions if you only want to add items. The awesome thing about Shortcuts is that you can customize the actions to meet your needs. If you would rather hear your To Do list, replace "Quick Look" with Get Text from Input and then Speak Text.

Try to create a new note with the title test in the notebook refile before starting the shortcut. I believe the reason it is not working is because your "input" is not linked to the note. As written, your shortcut is will view text input, but it is not saving it anywhere. I made my shortcut match your notebook name. Give it another try.

AJ,

This is really cool. Shortcuts seems to be able to do a ton and I'm only just getting started.

I copied what you did, and it works - sort of. It created a note and I was allowed to input text. When I hit OK I'm then given a full-sized screen showing what I typed. All good so far, but it doesn't actually add the text to the file within Evernote.

Any ideas?
