Connections to the server “p60-imap.mail.me.com” on the default ports timed out.

I'm new to mac mail and get the above statement when I try to access mail away from my office. I do get in-coming mail on my phone. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I see that you're unable to send and receive mail from the Mail application on your Mac. You receive a message that it's not connecting to the server, and I'm happy to help.


If you can’t send or receive email on your Mac -- This article provides the information and steps that you need to start receiving emails from your workplace.


Use Mail Connection Doctor -- Using Mail Connection Doctor can also provide some insight as to what's going on.
