How to Merge Documents in Pages 7.3?

I have Mac OS 10.14.2 with the latest version of Pages and for the life of me I can't figure out how to merge one pages document with another. In the past you could do it and I can't seem to see a way to import it either.

Any ideas anyone or is it simply it doesn't work any more?

Google search give out of date solutions to older version by the way.

I can’t find a desktop publishing app that I can understand, judging by the descriptions in their promotional verbiage. I have the idea of exporting each to PDF and then fitting each sequentially. No way to Add New Pages in Pages 5.2 I'm running Pages 5.2 on a MacBook Pro (2015) I can't figure out how to add a page to my existing document. The instructions in the Apple "Help" section only relate to the latest version, which appears to have an "+ page" button in the menu. I understand from my research, that there're different approaches based on it being a "word-processing" or "page layout" document file. This is still not helpful since there doesn't appear to be any indication which I'm working in. I'm trying to create a multi-page catalog with text and images, so... maybe a Page-layout file? And in any event, I would welcome both paths of instruction. I've tried at least one of the suggested methods with still no resolution. I shouldn't think it's should be this difficult, but... I appreciate the community's help on this one. If you've had experience adding pages in Pages 5.2, please respond with some detailed instruction. Thanks so much. You merge documents in Pages v7.3 by backing up the recipient document, and then opening it, alongside the donor document. Then you copy/paste between the documents bodies. There is no copy/paste between thumbnails. Forget how Pages '09 v4.3 used to do things as that code is not in Pages v7.3.
