Asurion Replacement iPad Pro?

I have an iPad Pro that has some hairline cracks in the corner. I don’t think they run to the surface. They appear to be within the glass at the moment. They don’t affect the operations right now, but will likely spread in time. The device is covered by Verizon’s insurance, which would be Asurion.

I can get a replacement device from them for $200. It comes with a one year warranty, also covered by Asurion.

I haven’t decided yet whether to get a replacement now or down the road. Does anyone have any experience with the quality of their products? If it needs a new a battery, will Apple look at it, decide it has been opened by a third party vendor and not give me a replacement device for an old battery?

I am just wondering if I go to Asurion now and pay for a replacement, or whether I should hold off until the glass starts be more of a problem than cosmetic?
