How to remove a bar on the Apple tv screen that starts with EX52

A bar has popped up on the screen that moves from top to bottom and back again the entire time it's turned on and partially blocks viewing. What is it and how do I remove it? It starts with EX52 and continues with a list of icons for Netflix, Hulu etc..
