Command-H does not hide the active application any longer

I have been working on MacOS High Sierra for quite a while and recently, what seems to be a bug has appeared. Instead of hiding the active application, Command-H shows my personal library. I checked the shortcuts in the System preferences, but can't seem to find this command. I then tried to repair the permissions. This seemed to work.

But now, the problems has reappeared. Repairing the permissions (twice) did not fix the problem this time. What can have gone wrong here?

I have tried SafeBoot. No change. I reset the PRAM and the SMC. No change.

But, I could find the culprit: I still use MaxMenus because I think it is very useful to navigate my file. Unfortunately, I do not how, I had activated Apple+H without knowing it in the HotKeys tab. Examining every application I had used recently led me to the answer.

I wish to thank you for taking the time to make suggestions to me. I feel sorry for this.

Sounds like the shift key may be stuck or sticking.

Shift command H is the home folder (See Finder>GO)

Try resetting NVRAM/PRAM http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1379

if that does not resolve thenTry resetting the SMC http://support.apple.com/kb/ht3964

To trouble shoot further you can:

Try a SafeBoot  https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201262

Takes noticeable longer to get to the login screen, does a 5 minute disk repair before it fully boots up, and certain system caches, dynamic loader cache, etc. get cleared and rebuilt.

Test issue in another user (or guest user) account  https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT204443
