I have a MacBookPro with OS X El Capitan Version 10.11.6, which support says will take an upgrade to Mojave. I keep getting instructions to go to Disk Utility & run First Aid, but this doesn't make the computer able to accept the upgrade. Help!

You will need a green approval on your boot drive Disk Utility First Aid results, and a minimum of 30 GB available space on that boot drive prior to installation.
Thank you so much. I’m running a backup now (should’ve done that before trying to update). I’ll see what it tells me when the backup is complete.
