Iust opened up a Logic project and it was all crackles and distorted, so I disabled core audio, hit apply changes , then enabled core audio again and hit apply changed, all fine!
Any reason for this? I have opened the same project in the past, just this one time, no big deal, just wondering why/how this should happen!

Not a big deal, something which previously used Audio may have changed the sample rate, or something else was running in the background that was still hooked into the core audio subsystem, it may have interfered with Logic grabbing the connection.
