Detach Audio From Separate Video

Hey guys. I'm creating a video in iMovie for a school project. I used an image as a placeholder so I could record voiceovers. I now want to replace that image with legitimate images for the project. However, it's exceedingly annoying to go and attach the audio to a different clip, and it messes everything up when I delete the original image. Is it at all possible to detach the audio entirely without messing everything up? Thanks, Christian.

Hi,

Put your cursor on the voiceover clip and, while pressing down, pull the clip downward into a lower audio well until you see the clip's attachment handle pull free of the photo. It will remain unattached in the lower well, until you drag it back up again.
