iwatch fell off swimming

My iWatch fell off when I was swimming in calm water. Since it is water resistant and the water was calm and I had no previous issues with it staying on wrist during physical activity I was not concerned. If Apple had clarified that it could fall off while swimming or during activity, I wouldn't have worn it. Is this something Apple was replace or credit?
