Apple Airpods randomly shuts off

I have been using my Air Pods for about 4 months and recently they have started shutting off about :15 to :45 secs. only a few times over the past few days but already 5 times today. They are over 90% charge and I am using iTunes. When it shuts off, I just have to engage the microphone and turn it off and the air pods come back to life. It is very frustrating. This is after the first week I had to return the right one and get it replaced only to have to replace that replacement a few weeks later for not holding a charge. They hold a charge fine now, but just keep shutting off. During the writing of this post they shut off at the :28 second mark and again at the :66 second mark but have been going for over 2 mins now. That is after shutting off now 5 other times since I got home today. I am going to pause typing until they shut off again or I get sick of waiting. They have been working continuously for over 15 mins so I am going to post this and see if they give me trouble tomorrow. Just wondering if anybody else has had this problem and then had it resolved in some way. Part of me thinks it is program bug.
