unable to move message to trash

I just got my hands on a really old iPhone and I setup my Office email on it. When I try to erase an email I get a message which says "Unable To Move Message To Trash". I've tried recreating my email account on the iPhone but the message keeps appearing and it is driving me mad!

Any idea how to fix it?

Hello.

Make sure deleted mailbox is put to Trash on the server. Just go to Settings > Accounts & Passwords > your email account > Advanced > Deleted Mailbox

And make sure you have set it to Trash under 'On The Server'
